RENEW/CANCEL NEWS: Betrayal (ABC), Super Fun Night (ABC)

With the announcement of ABC's mid-season lineup, it's official that Betrayal will not be returning.  So, a show that never should have aired was canceled.  I wish I couldn't say I told you so, but I did, so there.  Super Fun Night is also off the schedule, which should mean it officially isn't returning, as well.  Thanks for reading.

TV Premiere Ratings Notes For Sunday, November 17, 2013 And Monday November 18, 2013: Almost Human (FOX)

Did you check out the show, yet?  I watched the Pilot, and thought it was pretty average, with not much potential.  It definitely was good enough to stick with, so now my only hope is that it gets better.  There's no telling when I'll be able to watch the second episode, but you'll just have to get along without me.  Since I was remiss in my duties yesterday, I'm doubling up the ratings post for the "2 Night Premiere Event...lol".

Almost Human (FOX, Mondays at 8pm)

10.024 million Overall Viewers (Sunday, first half hour)
3.4/9 in the 18-49 Demo

8.175 million Overall Viewers (Sunday, second half hour)
2.8/7 in the 18-49 Demo

6.637 million Overall Viewers (Monday, first half hour)
2.2/6 in the 18-49 Demo

6.620 million Overall Viewers (Monday, second half hour)
2.2/6 in the 18-49 Demo

The first night's ratings were encouraging...sort of.  The problem is that the show had a football lead in, which grossly inflates numbers.  However, the show didn't drop a huge amount (as is common in premieres of shows like this) in the 18-49 demo from the first to second half hour.  It dropped a massive amount in the old peeplz demographic, but that doesn't really matter.  That led us (well, at least me) to wonder how it would do on the second night.

The answer was that it didn't do particularly well on the second night, but it did okay.  What was very encouraging about it is that it barely dropped an iota from the first to second half hours in the old peeplz demo (17,000 left in the middle of the show).  It didn't drop at all from the first to second half hour in the 18-49 demo.  That's not common at all in hour long shows, so it's encouraging to see a show hold its audience's attention so well.  If it stays at these ratings, it will get renewed.  Week 2 (episode 3) will be big for this show, when it comes to ratings.  Thanks for reading.
