TV Premiere Ratings Notes For Sunday, September 29, 2013: Once Upon A Time (ABC), Revenge (ABC), The Good Wife (CBS), Betrayal (ABC), The Mentalist (CBS)

Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly of Sunday's premieres.

Once Upon a Time (ABC, Sundays at 8pm ET)

8.349 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
2.6/7 in the 18-49 Demo

8.551 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
2.6/7 in the 18-49 Demo

The ratings are definitely down over the years, but they're still plenty high enough that this will see a syndication deal.  This is an easy money renewal.

Revenge (ABC, Sundays at 9pm ET)

8.355 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
2.5/6 in the 18-49 Demo

7.720 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
2.3/5 in the 18-49 Demo

I don't know why you're still watching this show, but a renewal is certain.

The Good Wife (CBS, Sundays at 9pm ET)

8.943 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
1.5/4 in the 18-49 Demo

8.921 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
1.4/3 in the 18-49 Demo

Not good, not good, at all.  Will it finally get a syndication deal?  CBS would probably like to make this show go away, but not enough to make it go away.

Betrayal (ABC, Sundays at 10pm ET)

5.606 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
1.6/4 in the 18-49 Demo

4.971 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
1.5/4 in the 18-49 Demo

I could easily add this show to the list this week, but I'll give it one more week before I start pointing and laughing at it, and saying things like "I told you so".

The Mentalist (CBS, Sundays at 10pm ET)

9.847 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
1.7/4 in the 18-49 Demo

9.585 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
1.5/4 in the 18-49 Demo

It's a good syndication property, and more episodes equals more money.  So, even with these pretty lackluster ratings, I think The Mentalist currently has a better than average chance of seeing another season.  Thanks for reading.
