There are probably lots of high fives going around FOX right now, after their strong premiere week, so far. They shouldn't get too comfortable, though, because things goan be changin' next week. But, we'll let them have their fun in the sun for at least one week. They premiered four shows last night, and I'll let you know how they did below.
Dads (FOX, Tuesdays at 8pm ET)
5.57 million Overall Viewers
2.1/7 in the 18-49 Demo
You might look at these numbers and say, "Wow, that's off to a good start", but you'd be wrong. I haven't watched the show yet (planning to this morning), but right now these numbers are more like a circus sideshow. When it actually has to face real competition, beginning next week, you should see a huge drop in its ratings. We'll make the first limbo pole setting next Wednesday morning.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (FOX, Tuesdays at 8:30pm ET)
6.00 million Overall Viewers
2.5/8 in the 18-49 Demo
Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. These numbers, on the other hand, are extremely encouraging for this show. I'll also be watching it this morning, and even if it sux, I will still be watching to the end. The numbers are so far from FOX's sitcom bubble, that it looks really good to stick around for another season. Of course, we'll wait until next week to see how far it drops (and it will).
New Girl (FOX, Tuesdays at 9pm ET)
5.56 million Overall Viewers
2.9/8 in the 18-49 Demo
FOX's hit comedy returned in great shape, so go ahead and cue season 4.
The Mindy Project (FOX, Tuesdays at 9:30pm ET)
3.95 million Overall Viewers
1.9/5 in the 18-49 Demo
I'm pretty disappointed with these numbers, and I'm sure FOX is too. Hopefully these are real numbers for the show, and it won't drop much below these for the rest of the season. I guess we'll see, but I am definitely concerned we're not gonna get a season 3 with this start. Come on people, start watching the show! Thanks for reading.
