TV Premiere Ratings Notes For Thursday, September 26, 2013: The Big Bang Theory (CBS), Parks And Recreation (NBC), Grey's Anatomy (ABC), The Crazy Ones (CBS), The Michael J. Fox Show (NBC), Glee (FOX), Elementary (CBS), Parenthood (NBC)

Thursday was probably a night of high expectations for CBS and NBC.  Let's see how they did.

The Big Bang Theory (CBS, Thursdays at 8pm ET)

18.303 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
5.3/18 in the 18-49 Demo

19.515 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
5.8/17 in the 18-49 Demo

Wow!  I had no idea this show was so popular.  Not.

Parks and Recreation (NBC, Thursdays at 8pm ET)

3.668 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
1.3/4 in the 18-49 Demo

2.985 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
1.2/4 in the 18-49 Demo

I hate to say it, but I think this is probably going to be the last season of Parks and Recreation, one of my favorite shows.  With the enormous scheduling blunder NBC made, as opposed to moving it to Fridays, it probably has even less hope of a renewal.  I'm sure DVR numbers will be much better than what you see here, but they probably won't be enough to save it.  ::Sniff::

Grey's Anatomy (ABC, Thursdays at 9pm ET)

9.173 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
3.3/9 in the 18-49 Demo

9.186 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
3.4/9 in the 18-49 Demo

9.535 million Overall Viewers (Third Half Hour)
3.5/10 in the 18-49 Demo

9.130 million Overall Viewers (Fourth Half Hour)
3.3/9 in the 18-49 Demo

Who cares about Grey's Anatomy?  Bring on Scandal. ;)

The Crazy Ones (CBS, Thursdays at 9pm ET)

15.606 million Overall Viewers
4.0/11 in the 18-49 Demo

In the first battle of former big stars, Robin Williams and Michael J. Fox, Williams takes round 1...by a lot (as you'll see in a second).  CBS has got to be happy with these numbers, but they might not stay too happy too long, as episode two is coming up, and who knows what kind of audience erosion that will bring?

The Michael J. Fox Show (NBC, Thursdays at 9pm ET)

7.217 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
2.1/6 in the 18-49 Demo

7.347 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
2.1/6 in the 18-49 Demo

What a massive disappointment these numbers are.  It's a shame that this show premiered so low, but it was evidently good enough to the viewers that watched it, that they couldn't turn away.  After people view the show on their DVRs, you might see a big uptick in next week's numbers, if it turns out The Crazy Ones wasn't all that great (will know soon when I check both out).  So, while I'm concerned with these premiere numbers, they might actually go up next week.  Guess we'll see.

Glee (FOX, Thursdays at 9pm ET)

5.500 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
2.1/6 in the 18-49 Demo

4.831 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
1.9/5 in the 18-49 Demo

Who knew Glee had so many Two and a Half Men viewers?

Elementary (CBS, Thursdays at 10pm ET)

10.630 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
2.2/6 in the 18-49 Demo

9.646 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
2.0/6 in the 18-49 Demo

These are pretty disappointing numbers for Elementary's second season premiere, but pretty much exactly where they were all last season.  I can't get too concerned yet.

Parenthood (NBC, Thursdays at 10pm ET)

5.577 million Overall Viewers (First Half Hour)
1.8/5 in the 18-49 Demo

4.755 million Overall Viewers (Second Half Hour)
1.5/4 in the 18-49 Demo

Unless Sean Saves the World next week, I think you're looking at the end of Parenthood.  Thanks for reading.
