TV Ratings Notes For Friday, September 28, 2012: Grimm, Made In Jersey, Fringe

Grimm (NBC, Fridays at 9pm ET)

5.312 million Overall Viewers
1.6/5 in the 18-49 Demo

Grimm's first original in about three weeks or so aired last night, and its ratings were higher than the last Monday original.  Cue season 3 folks.  I'm very happy to see stable numbers here.  This is a great show, and I hope it sticks around for a long time.

Made in Jersey (CBS, Fridays at 9pm ET)

7.744 million Overall Viewers
1.1/4 in the 18-49 Demo

This show is cremated, which is worse than being DOA.  I'm going to go ahead and put this show on the list you don't want to be on.  So much for CBS's revival of Friday nights.  It didn't happen.  Don't expect any new series here next season.  The experiment failed for them.  Pretty soon, we'll get to see how the experiment goes for Friday night programming for NBC and ABC.  I was so hoping that Fridays would be a new night of programming, but it might still end up being a wasteland where unique new shows go, and where old shows go to die.

Fringe (FOX, Fridays at 9pm ET)

3.176 million Overall Viewers
1.1/4 in the 18-49 Demo

The final season of Fringe got off to a bang...of a cap gun.  This is the season dedicated to the fans, so they should be happy that it's here.  However, the fans didn't show their excitement for the premiere by showing up and giving FOX some numbers to be proud of.  These numbers are really pathetic, as usual.  Can I just mention how much I really miss Alcatraz, a show that probably would have done pretty well on Friday nights?  Just wait until Touch starts airing on Friday nights, and then you'll really see how much I miss Alcatraz.  Thanks for reading.
