TV Ratings Note For Sunday, March 18, 2012 (GCB)

GCB (ABC, 10pm ET)

6.28 million Overall Viewers
2.0/5 in the 18-49 Demo

I don't know why, but I'm getting the feeling that the fate of this show may be hard to predict, similar to Awake (NBC, Thursdays, 10pm ET).  As of this particular writing, these are the absolute lowest numbers this show can get, to get renewed.  I thought, last week, that the show would potentially lose some of its hangover viewers from the people who only became interested after the encore presentations of the Pilot had aired.  It turns out that it lost quite a few viewers from week 2 to week 3 (.3 in the 18-49 demo, and a little less than 1 million overall viewers).  Knowing how things like this go, the 2.0 you see, right here, is the absolute bubble for this show.  If it drops below a 2.0, it's see you later.  Next week, I will 100 percent decide its fate, rightly or wrongly.  Just like Awake is exactly on the bubble at a 1.6, 2.0 has to be the absolute bubble for an ABC drama (comedy, whatevs), all in my opinion, of course.  It should be a fascinating story to see if the show can stabilize exactly at the numbers it received last night.  If it does that, its fate may be close to impossible to accurately predict, outside of coin flip guessing.  Stay tuned, and thanks for reading.
